Archer & Greiner is pleased to announce that Gianfranco A. Pietrafesa has earned the prestigious 2020 Alfred C. Clapp Award for Excellence in Legal Education by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE), the educational arm of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA). This award is the Institute’s highest honor and is presented to a member of the New Jersey legal community who exemplifies excellence in continuing legal education. Mr. Pietrafesa will be honored at a reception in the fall. Regarding this honor, Mr. Pietrafesa said, “I have greatly enjoyed organizing, moderating and speaking at legal seminars over the years. Participating in the continuing legal education process has been satisfying on a very personal level, and I am extremely grateful for NJICLE’s recognition of my efforts.” Mr. Pietrafesa, a Partner in Archer & Greiner’s Hackensack office, practices in the area of corporate and business law, and has long been devoted to NJICLE and continuing legal education. He has spoken at more than 40 seminars and has been program coordinator and speaker for more than 20 years. Mr. Pietrafesa is a past Chair and current director of the NJSBA Business Law Section. He was a member of the select committee that drafted the New Jersey Revised Uniform Limited Liability Company Act (NJ-RULLCA). He also served on the editorial board of the New Jersey Lawyer for 15 years and has written numerous articles. He received the NJSBA’s 2012 Distinguished Legislative Service Award for his work in New Jersey’s enactment of NJ-RULLCA. Named to The Best Lawyers in America for Corporate Law since 2006, Mr. Pietrafesa has also been named by The Best Lawyers in America as the Hackensack Area Corporate Law “Lawyer of the Year” numerous times, including in 2020.
