Matrix New World Engineering(Matrix) announced Brett Fitzgerald, PLS, has officially joined the firm. Fitzgerald brings a wide range of oil and gas industry knowledge as well as commercial and residential real estate development expertise to the team. In previous positions, Fitzgerald shifted focus from the oil and gas industry to real estate development projects. Over the course of his career, Fitzgerlad managed initial client requests and design requirements for major petrochemical projects including major pipeline construction, navigable waterway inspectives and pipeline anomaly stake-outs where he developed a more thorough comprehension of local and federal guidelines and restrictions. In addition, Fitzgerald was responsible for all aspects of various survey related projects from initial bidding to final deliverables. He gained valuable experience in topographic mapping and drainage planning, boundary monumentum and recovery, hydrographic work, RTK GPS, and robotic total station data collection and stake-out. He worked on several key projects including oil and gas work from initial boundary location, and drill pad layout and design to pipeline planning and as-builts. With a dedication to our environment, Fitzgerald also worked on eight Superfund clean-up sights, numerous volumetric surveys, structural steel layout for plant unit expansions, and hydrographic surveys. His expertise and experience will help strengthen the company’s knowledge and further enhance our leadership role in the region’s environmental projects.” Fitzgerald received his Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Geography from Louisiana State University, in addition to completing engineering coursework from the University of Wyoming.
