Hackensack Meridian Raritan Bay Medical Center Perth Amboy is pleased to announce it received re-accreditation of its Echocardiography Lab from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). This accreditation is granted only to facilities that meet, or exceed, the highest standards of patient care. “We are proud to achieve this re-accreditation from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission,” said William DiStanislao, interim president, chief hospital executive; vice president, Operations, Raritan Bay Medical Center. “This re-accreditation shows the hard work our team members do each day, by providing the highest quality and safe care to our patients.” Raritan Bay Medical Center Perth Amboy, employs a vast range of non-invasive diagnostic tools for detecting and managing heart disease. It is also one of only a few hospitals in the country to utilize three-dimensional cardiography. The facility performs over 20,000 procedures annually, with a full complement of tests that include, electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, cardiac stress tests, holter monitoring, nuclear stress tests, signal-average electrocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms. In addition, Raritan Bay Perth Amboy’s Nuclear Cardiology Lab is also accredited by the IAC. As part of Hackensack Meridian Health’s Cardiac Care Transformation Service planning, all network medical centers are participating in a structured process to receive similar accreditations from the IAC.
