Cobb, Jr. to its Board of Trustees. A resident of Delanco, NJ, Cobb, Jr. brings nearly 30 years of political experience and organizational leadership skills to advance NJ Sharing Network’s life-saving mission. “Jim is well-recognized throughout New Jersey as an effective leader who understands how to develop and implement long- and short-term strategies that will help NJ Sharing Network save and enhance lives,” said Joseph Roth, President and CEO of NJ Sharing Network. “He is a perfect fit for our Board and we are excited to bring his insights and experience to our team.” Cobb, Jr. has been an active leader in the New Jersey political scene since 1992. For the past 18 years, he has served as the Director of Governmental Affairs at the New York Shipping Association, Inc. (NYSA). The NYSA represents the ocean carriers, marine terminal operations, and other maritime industry employers who conduct the business of international maritime commerce in the nation’s second busiest seaport facility, the Port of New York & New Jersey. Cobb Jr.’s career in politics began as a legislative aide to Assemblywoman Priscilla B. Anderson and Assemblyman Jose F. Sosa of the 7th District of the New Jersey General Assembly. Cobb, Jr. was later promoted to Director of Business Affairs, where he served as a liaison between the NJDEP, the legislature and New Jersey’s business community, overseeing tens of billions of dollars’ worth of development projects throughout the Garden State. He also served as NJDEP’s representative to Prosperity New Jersey, the Governor’s Sub-Cabinet Committee for Job Creation and Job Retention, and on the Boards of Directors of the New Jersey Commerce Commission and the New Jersey Redevelopment Authority.
