Evan H. Krinick, Managing Partner of Rivkin Radler LLP, is pleased to announce that Randi Forbes and Melissa D. Medilien have joined the Firm as Associates. Randi Forbes, of Freeport, NY, has joined the Insurance Fraud group, resident in the Long Island office. She focuses her practice on insurance defense and no-fault insurance fraud matters. Prior to entering law school, Randi was a paralegal in multi-practice, debt collection, and insurance defense law firms. Melissa D. Medilien, of Brooklyn, NY, has joined the Insurance Fraud group, resident in the Long Island office. She helps insurers prosecute civil lawsuits under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, including affirmative actions to recover insurer claim payments to physicians, medical clinics, attorneys, public adjusters and others involved in complex, large-scale insurance fraud schemes. Prior to joining Rivkin Radler, Melissa served as an Assistant District Attorney for six years with the Queens County District Attorney’s Office. During her service with the District Attorney’s Office, Melissa was assigned to the Criminal Court/Intake Bureau, Narcotic Trials Bureau and most recently, the Domestic Violence Bureau, where she prosecuted felony crimes committed between intimate partners.
