The Medical Center partnered with the County of Bergen for the event (Paramus, NJ) – Paramus, NJ – Bergen New Bridge Medical Center hosted the annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony in partnership with the County of Bergen. The ceremony takes place at the 9/11 memorial located on the Medical Center’s campus. "Bergen County lost 147 precious lives on September 11, 2001 - friends, neighbors, colleagues, family members, all of whom went to work that day and never came home. We gather today, and every year, to remember them and the nearly 3,000 other lives lost at the Pentagon, World Trade Center, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania," said Deborah Visconi, President & CEO, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. "We are honored to have on our campus one of the only 9/11 memorials that lists the name of every soul lost. Our memorial site is a place people can visit to remember all those lost including the courageous first responders who died while trying to save others." "We must continue to honor the memory of all those who died on that tragic day, recognizing the profound impact it had on our nation. Through ceremonies like this, we ensure that the younger generations understand the true cost of 9/11 and its aftermath,” said Bergen County Executive James Tedesco. “It's a solemn duty to stand by those who suffered, offering support and remembrance for the lives lost, the heroes who responded, and the enduring impact on our communities."
