-Matrix New World Engineering continues its expansion with new strategic hire – Florham Park, NJ — Matrix New World Engineering (Matrix) is pleased to announce Kelly Pilarski P.E., LEED AP, has joined the firm as Vice President and Director of Major Programs. She will be based out of California supporting all Matrix offices. Kelly Pilarski brings more than a decade of professional experience; along with unparalleled expertise in program and design management knowledge within the private and public sectors. Her portfolio features a spectrum of projects, spanning from $50K to the monumental $1.6B Moynihan Train Hall. Pilarski received her Bachelors of Science, Civil Engineering, and Building Science from the University of Southern California, graduating with honors. Kelly is a Licensed Professional Engineer and LEED AP. Her professional experience embodies leading and supporting large multi-disciplinary projects with a collaborative delivery approach working with owners, designers, and contractors. Kelly has experience in structural, architectural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, comms network and security systems design and review. Kelly has garnered multiple honors which include ‘Top 20 under 40 Professional Women in Construction’ in 2018, as well ‘Rising Stars in Progressive Railroading’ in 2022. Her projects range from $50K to $1.6B. In her 15 years of experience, she has focused on mastering a well-rounded and nimble approach to project delivery. Establishing clear communication and risk management plans at the onset of each project is a key attribute of her process. This helps to establish the project structure, understand issues, and develop important relationships and creative mitigation measures up front. From project planning through construction, she works to continuously prioritize immediate needs while managing multiple complex work streams in parallel. Owners look to her to lead delivery of large multi-discipline programs that include civil/site utilities; extensive permitting coordination; architectural; structural; geotechnical; mechanical; electrical; plumbing; security systems, communications, audiovisual, fire alarm, lighting, wayfinding, landscape architecture, marine construction, sustainability, code analyses, and project controls.
