(Paramus, NJ) – Paramus, NJ – Bergen New Bridge Medical Center cut the ribbon on its new state-of the art MRI, the Echelon Oval MRI by Fujifilm Healthcare. The new MRI provides a patient-friendly imaging experience while delivering the latest in diagnostic technology. “I am proud to further deliver on our commitment to expanding access to diagnostic imaging for all our communities as we continue to redefine innovation,” said Deborah Visconi, President & CEO, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. “Our new MRI is designed around the shape of the body so those who feel claustrophobic in traditional machines will have greater peace-of-mind and comfort in ours while receiving the latest in diagnostic technology for both preventive and interventional care.” “Today is another bright day for the future of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and is another milestone in the progression of providing high quality healthcare to those who need it most,” said Bergen County Executive James Tedesco. “This MRI will change the diagnostic ability of this facility and improve the level of care for all patients and for the more than 450 long term care residents who call the medical center home.” “Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is once again unveiling greater healthcare access for our residents here in Bergen County and beyond,” said Assemblywoman Lisa Swain. “The people who use this facility will now have access to the greatest technology available when they need an MRI.” “The transformation this hospital has undergone in the last five years is unbelievable,” said Bergen County Board of Commissioners Vice Chair Germaine Ortiz. “This is now an incredible facility that can serve every single resident of Bergen County.” “Without a cutting-edge state of the art MRI, I would not be able to provide our patients with the most effective treatments they deserve,” said Dr. Madouna Hanna. “With great technology, comes great efficiency which means we can serve more patients who need the MRI with a greatly reduced turnaround time for diagnostic imaging results.” The Radiology Department at Bergen New Bridge upgraded the MRI equipment as the new machine allows for the broadest patient opening and improved workflow at each exam stage. The department provides patients with a more effective MRI contrast agent, which has the lowest retention levels and the lowest risk for nephrogenic system fibrosis while providing excellent diagnostic imaging. Bergen New Bridge radiologists work closely with many medical specialty areas to make sure patients get exactly the care they need. For more information, visit www.newbridgehealth.org.
