Kyle Hioki is being recognized for his work running the COVID testing program at The College of New Jersey (Paramus, NJ) – Paramus, NJ – Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is proud to announce that Kyle Hioki, Clinical Integration Analyst, has been selected for the President’s Award by the New Jersey Public Health Association (NJPHA). Hioki is being recognized for his work coordinating the COVID testing program at The College of New Jersey. During his time as the onsite coordinator, he and the Bergen New Bridge team completed 70,999 COVID tests from January 2021 through December 2022. “Bergen New Bridge has led the way with COVID-19 testing since the onset of the pandemic and we were proud to be able to address the critical need for testing at The College of New Jersey,” said Deborah Visconi, President, and CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. “The work that Kyle did as the on-site coordinator was critical to the success of the testing program and as a result, this award is a well-deserved recognition of his efforts and that of the entire team.” The award was established in 1983 by John Carlano, a former president and lifelong member of the NJPHA. It is presented for exemplary work on the front lines of public health by the current president of the NJPHA. Hioki will be presented with the award in April at the Annual Conference and Award Ceremony of New Jersey Public Health Association: The Future of New Jersey Public Health, Maximizing Equity for Communities at Mercer County College. Hioki received his bachelor’s degree in public health and a master’s degree in public health with a focus on epidemiology and health analytics from The College of New Jersey.
