The New Jersey Bankers Association names Brittany Wheeler as its new Vice President and Director of Government Affairs CRANFORD, NJ – The New Jersey Bankers Association is pleased to announce it has named Brittany Wheeler as Vice President and Director of Government Affairs. Brittany will officially assume the role on December 29, 2022. Brittany’s extensive political career started in New Hampshire working for a U.S. Senate Campaign before joining the Republican National Committee (RNC) in Louisiana. Returning to New Jersey in late 2015, Brittany joined the Office of New Jersey Assemblyman Erik Peterson, where she began to develop an understanding of the legislative process in Trenton and how to best serve constituents in a District Office role. She then managed numerous political campaigns and worked alongside the most prominent political consultants in the country. In 2017, Brittany served as Political Director for Jack Ciattarelli, who was a candidate for governor in the Republican gubernatorial primary. Brittany joined the Office of New Jersey Assemblyman Christopher P. DePhillips serving as Chief of Staff and began to exercise her knowledge of both politics and state government to further her legislative experience. In 2020, Brittany once again joined Jack Ciattarelli as Political Director when he announced his gubernatorial campaign. Post-election, Brittany served as the Executive Director for Fixing New Jersey, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing voter participation. For the past decade, Brittany has succeeded in statewide leadership roles within political and governmental organizations in New Jersey. She was listed one of the Best Operatives of 2021 by the New Jersey Globe. Named to SaveJersey.com’s list of “The Right 40 Women to Watch” in 2019 and 2022, InsiderNJ’s “50 under 30: The Millennial Up and Comers in NJ Politics” in 2017, and Observer’s “30 Under 30: Political Up-and-Comers in New Jersey for 2016. “Brittany will be a great asset to the Association.
