Archer Partner Steven K. Mignogna has been appointed as New Jersey State Chair of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Mr. Mignogna serves as the Chair of Archer’s Estate and Trust Litigation Practice Group and focuses his practice on commercial litigation, with a concentration on probate matters, estates, fiduciaries, guardianships and real estate. Mr. Mignogna is active in ACTEC in several other areas, which include the Fiduciary Litigation Committee, Professional Responsibility Committee, Program Committee, Joint Task Force of ACTEC and the National College of Probate Judges, and Advisory Committee to ACTEC’s Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute. ACTEC is a prestigious association of highly-credentialed trust and estate lawyers. Its members are elected to the College by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience as trust and estate counselors. All ACTEC members have made substantial contributions to the field of trusts and estates law through writing, teaching and bar leadership activities. Mr. Mignogna also serves on the Advisory Committee of the Heckerling Institute and is active in the American Bar Association (ABA) where he has held several leadership roles in the ABA’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, including serving as Chair of the Litigation, Ethics and Malpractice Group. He has lectured and published for ACTEC, the Heckerling Institute, the National College of Probate Judges, the New Jersey Bar Association, the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education Group, the American Bar Association, the Duke University Estate Planning Conference, the Delaware Trust Conference, and Estate Planning Councils around the country. He authors the treatise, Estate and Trust Litigation, and is the editor and contributing author of The New Jersey Estate Planning Manual and New Jersey Probate Procedures Manual. In 2017, the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education honored him with the Distinguished Service Award. Recently, Mr. Mignogna was appointed to the Board of Directors of Encore Series, Inc., presenter of The Philly POPS.
